Bikes and Trikes are Wonderful Rides for Kids

Day care centers often have wonderful rides for kids. These may include bikes and trikes. These are fantastic equipment that can get kids to exercise without too much prodding. Exercise is really essential for kids to develop stronger bones and healthier bodies. With bikes and trikes, children will have ample activity to build up those muscles. It is also a great activity for children to develop good coordination and balance.

Aside from all these healthy benefits, kids will definitely have the best fun in these delightful rides. Basically, this is their first driving experience. You know how kids love to imitate older siblings and their parents. Getting to drive these rides is their first step to independence. And, just imagine how exhilarating this must be for them.

Since kids will be driving these bikes and trikes on their own, safety is number one priority. Parents and teachers should get kids to wear a helmet, elbow pads and knee pads. These can protect the kids when they fall from their rides. Make sure that the rides are in proper condition. Be certain that the chains are functioning well, the seat and handle bars are solid and the wheels are mounted correctly. Also, choose the ride that is best appropriate for the kid's size and height. The child will have difficulty balancing on the bike if he can barely touch the pedals or can't even get hold of the bars. Finally, always supervise the kids and make sure that they only get to enjoy these rides within the day care compounds and not bring it to the streets.
